There was a great saint in my country who was very famous for his simplicity , deep knowledge and preaching. One day at the time of preaching in a famous temple of the Pink City , a person from his followers asked him,” Who is the most happiest person in the world ? The saint said to him, ” Though it’s too typical to answer this question yet I would like to answer it not only very simply but also very truly. “The person who takes only two minutes to get fresh in the toilet and has no debt, is the happiest person in my view. Nobody will oppose the answer of the question because going through the newspapers, chatting on mobile and smoking are the tools of many people to spend their time in the toilet due to Kosthabaddhata (Constipation). Constipation creates a lot of health problems like headache, giddiness, vomiting, nausea, dyspepsia, stomatitis, hyperacidity, fatigue, idleness, body ache , lack of sleeping, skin problems back ache, fissure, piles fistula and many other serious problems. If we are badly in debt how can we have a sound sleep. Due to lack of proper sleeping we may be suffered from a lot of mental problems. So we will have to be escaped from constipation and debt for our physical and mental health.

What is Constipation ? It is a condition of the digestive system in which a person has difficulty to expel the feces .Generally it occurs due to dryness and hardness of the feces. Though it is a different thing that motion habits are differ from person to person. An individual goes daily for motion twice a day and an another person goes for it once a day, both are healthy. A third person goes to expel feces once in a week. This is an interesting thing that all three persons feel healthy . Motion habits depend on many factors , as : • Constitution of the patient, Eating habits and diet, Intake of water, sleeping habits, awaking time of the patient, occupation mentally health etc.
May be the Possible causes :

  • Improper life style.
  • Wrong diet habits.
  • Lack of fibers in the diet.
  • Lack of leafy vegetables and fruits in the diet.
  • Execs use of tea and coffee.
  • Use of potatoes, sweets, , fast-food, junk-food etc.
  • Overeating habits./li>
  • Use of pain killers sedatives and other medicines.
  • Working till late night.
  • Lack of proper hydration.
  • Getting up after the sunset.
  • Lack of physical exercise.
  • Suffering from liver and spleen diseases.
  • Using unnatural and synthetic provisions.
  • Using very superfine flour.
  • Taking food without hunger.
  • Suppression of natural physical urges.
  • Lack of proper munching of food is an important cause.
  • Taking water just before & after food.

Symptoms :

  • Difficulty in expelling feces
  • Headache
  • Restlessness
  • Flatulence
  • Indigestion
  • Poor appetite
  • Giddiness
  • Backache
  • Fatigue
  • Idleness
  • Mouth ulcers

Prevention and Solution :

  • Avoidance of all those causes which are responsible for it.
  • Take 2-4 glass of water preferably placed in a copper jug.
  • Walking for a few minutes after it .
  • Always take food at a fixed time.
  • Avoidance of taking water before 45 minutes of taking food.
  • Chew each bite at least 24 times until it converts to liquid.
  • Avoidance taking water upto 45 minutes after food.
  • Use green fresh salad . Use husky flour to prepare food.
  • Avoidance of fried things.
  • Follow the rule early to bed and early to rise .
  • Taking light food is beneficial.
  • Use 1 or 2 glass curd water after lunch.
  • Take your dinner 2 hours before going to bed.
  • Take a glass of milk at night just before going to sleep.
  • Take your food a little than your hunger.
  • Use of seasonal fresh fruits is very good.
  • Take at least 10-12 glass of water during the day.
  • Practise the following Asanas regularly – Tadasana, Pada hastasana, Dhanurasana, Sarvangasana, Padmasana,and Bhujangasana . • Practising Kapalbhati is beneficial.
  • Avoidance of taking food in indigestion.
  • In spite of following the said points if you suffer from constipation, contact an Ayurveda Expert and having examined he will decided the treatment for you. There are a lot of medicines in Ayurveda for constipation. The main cause of constipation is the dryness of the GI Tract and the most of purgatives produce dryness.
  • Taking something for constipation now and then is not a permanent solution of it. Follow the said rules and remove the causes of it and don’t be trapped by it.
  • It may be cause of menses related problems in females, wet dreams in males, arthritis, colonial cancer arteriosclerosis etc.
